Description:
The main aim of the ITEC Level 5 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy has been designed to provide experienced practitioners currently working in sport and active leisure, including osteopaths, physiotherapists, sports therapists and sports massage practitioners with the requisite understanding and complex skills and techniques to work as an advanced sports massage practitioner. Advanced practitioners will be equipped to work with clientele ranging from recreational sport and active leisure enthusiasts to professional sports persons and elite athletes.

This diploma enables graduates to conduct Level 5 Sports Massage Therapy in sports and active leisure industry - Gym, Health Clubs, Sporting facilities or Spas. Once Learners have achieved the ITEC Level 5 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy they may progress on to degrees and postgraduate degrees in sports related disciplines. Learners who successfully complete this programme will be equipped with the requisite understanding and skills to work independently with elite athletes and professional sports persons. This qualification is recognised as an approved qualification by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS)
