ITEC Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head

 The course will cover:
Unit 827 Provide Indian Head Massage
Unit 613 Monitor and Maintain Health and Safety Practice in the Salon
Unit 819 Working In The Beauty Related Industries
Unit 821 Client Care And Communication In Beauty Related Industries
Course Requirements:
- None. It is a beginner's course.
- It is recommended that learners have achieved a level of education equivalent to five GCSE's at grades A*-C prior to commencing the ITEC Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage; however, exemptions may be made for adult returners with experience of the workplace
- Assessments consists of: 15 multiple choice question and answer test, Practical examination of 30 minutes, evidence of 4 treatments and 3 assignment portfolios.
In Future
Once you have completed the qualification, you may:
- Start your own full time / part time therapy business offering treatments
- Help friends and family by providing treatments
- Study further ITEC courses in Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Beauty Therapy, Ayurvedic Massage, Thai Massage,
- Work in spas, health clubs, reports, beauty salons
- Become mobile therapist
It also aims to:
- to provide skills at Level 3 in the Qualifications and Credit Framework for those interested in the Beauty Therapy Industry
- to provide opportunities for staff in the Beauty Therapy Industry to gain a Level 3 qualification
- to qualify learners at Level 3 in the Beauty Therapy Industry
- to sustain the interest of learners wanting to work in the Beauty Therapy Industry
- to encourage knowledge and understanding of the Beauty Therapy Industry at Level 3
- to provide opportunities for learners to focus on the development of the major functional skills and the wider functional skills in a beauty therapy context, such as communicating with clients, working with others and problem solving
- to provide opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as an Indian Head Massage Therapist
