Sumita Singh, Principal Tutor, Holistic Mind and Body Therapist
Sumita is practitioner and teacher of energy and body therapies with over 14years of experience. Born and brought up in India. She remembers growing up with home remedies based on ayurvedic principals. Coming in contact with loving Reiki energy in 1997, opened new doors for learning for her. Over the years she qualified in various therapies like Karmic Healing, Quantum Healing, Reiki, Reflexology, Ayurvedic treatments, Indian Head Massage, Facial Rejuvenation, body massage, Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Neuro linguistic programming (NLP) from Paul Mckenna, Advance Stress management, and more. She loves to learn and says that she learns most from her students.
She is passionate about promoting eastern therapies to promote wellbeing.
She is a member of Society for Neuro Linguistic Programmers, British Thought Field Association, Institute of Learning, The Guild of Beauty Therapists and British Complementary Therapy Association. She is founder and principal tutor of Affable Therapy and works with many further education colleges and local authorities in London.
Natalie Watkins, Beauty and Spa Therapies Tutor
Natalie Watkins is a friendly, professional, fully qualified Therapist. Trained at the London College of Fashion & worked at The London College of Beauty Therapy. She aims to create a relaxing atmosphere in which students gain first class knowledge through expert teaching and ongoing support. Currently working as a Beauty Therapy Lecturer in a further education college.
Natalie has gained over six years industry experience from Spa Therapist to Salon Manager. Throughout her career she has also achieved a BSc Cosmetic Science degree (Beauty Science) at the London College of Fashion as well as trained with leading Professional skincare brands. Natalie has a great passion for the Beauty and Spa industry and enjoys sharing her wealth of experiences and knowledge to ensure enjoyable training to those looking to learn a new skill.
Paula Mullins, Tutor Reflexology and Aromatherapy
Paula is a qualified complementary therapists and has worked in the industry since 1992. She is trained in Reflexology, Aromatherapy, India Head Massage and Holistic Massage. She is a qualified teacher. She has worked in Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital as a Health Care Assistance and then went on worked as an Aromatherapist on a Stroke Rehabilitation Unit for 6 years and then in Cancer Care for a further 5 years. She has written many articles for various journals and contributed to books as well.
Andrew Edwards, Sports Therapist
Andrew has been Practicing as a Sports Therapist for over 14 Years. He Graduated from the University of Bradford in 1987 in Biomedical Sciences, where he studied many things including; Pathology, Histology, Pharmacology, Medical Physiology, Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology. He carried out research into Acute Inflammation and how to use drugs to help manage the ealy stages of healing. After this training he qualified as a Teacher, Immediate Care Practitioner, Mountain Leader and Open Water Diver. He also then completed a two year Diploma in Sports Therapy which included training in Massage, Electrical and Heat Treatments and Remedial Exercises. After this he studied and completed a Level 5 Advanced Sports Therapy Diploma. He is a member of the FHT and Registered with the CNHC. He has worked with Footballer Teams, Rugby Teams and Dancers. He is currently studying for another Degree at Teeside University and has a research interest in Myofascial Body Work and linking this to Functional Movement Assessments in order to predict and then prevent possible injuries. He has been inspired by the works of the late Dr Ida Rolf and Dr Vladimir Janda.
